Privacy Policy
Academic Blue Book (学术英语蓝宝书) does not collect any personal data or usage data. There is no account, advertising, analytics or tracking, and your learning record stays on your own device.
1Information we collect
None. The app contains no account system, advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking or third-party data collection SDK, and it does not connect to any server run by the developer. The word list is built into the app and works offline.
2Data stored on your device
So that the app can work, the following is kept in the app’s local storage:
- favorite entries and recently viewed entries;
- “known” and “learning” marks from Browse;
- quiz scores and the spaced-review schedule;
- your settings, such as interface language, new words per day, voice and appearance.
This data is never sent to the developer or to any third party. Deleting the app deletes this data. If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, it may be included in that system backup, which is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
3Exported backups
When you choose Settings → Export learning record, the app writes a JSON file to a location you pick in the system file dialog. Where the file is kept and who it is shared with is up to you; the app does not upload it.
4Read-aloud
Read-aloud uses the voices built into iOS and is generated on your device. No text or audio is sent to the developer or to any translation or speech service.
5Third-party code
Spaced review uses the open-source FSRS scheduler swift-fsrs. It runs only on your device and does not receive or transmit your data.
6Children’s privacy
Because the app collects no data, it does not collect personal information from children.
7Your choices
We hold no personal information about you, so there is no server-side data to access, correct or delete. You can remove the data on your device at any time by deleting the app; export a backup first if you want to keep your progress.
8Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change — for example, if an online service is added — this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that change is released.
