Memo Clock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Memo Clock is a local-first memo capture and review app. We care about your privacy. The current version does not provide accounts, developer-operated remote servers, AI, OCR, or ad tracking. If your device is signed in to iCloud and system settings allow it, app data may sync across your devices signed in to the same Apple ID through Apple's private iCloud/CloudKit database.

1. Data We Process

To provide memo creation, library, review, check-in, and local reminder features, the app stores the following data on your device:

2. Where Data Is Stored

This data is stored locally on your device first. Memos, review records, and settings are stored using local system storage. Handwritten images and image memos are stored in the app's local sandbox, with necessary data copies saved when available so they can display after iCloud sync.

The app does not operate developer-run servers, does not upload your memos, handwritten images, image memos, review records, or check-in records to developer servers, and does not sell or share them with third parties. iCloud sync is provided by Apple and controlled by your Apple ID, iCloud settings, and Apple's privacy policy.

3. Camera, Photo Library, Local Notifications, and Badge

If you choose to add an image memo, the app may request access to your photo library or camera so you can select or take a photo as memo content. Selected or captured images are used only for local memo creation and review.

If you enable notifications, the app uses iOS local notifications to remind you to review memos at the times you choose. The app does not use a remote push notification server.

4. What We Do Not Do

5. Data Deletion

You can delete memos inside the app. When a memo is deleted, the app also deletes its related review records. If the memo has a handwritten image or image memo file, the corresponding local image file is deleted as well.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children, and it does not actively collect user identity information.

7. Policy Changes

If future versions add accounts, developer-operated cloud sync, AI, OCR, analytics, or other features that process more data, we will update this Privacy Policy before those features launch and request authorization when required.
